Our first ever event - Info and results from the FE Race & Reunion (4/27/13)
Thanks to everyone that came out for the FE Race & Reunion at Beaver Springs Dragway on 4/27. The weather was PERFECT and the action was FEtastic! There were more than 150 FE powered vehicles in attendance. The FE Race & Reunion will return to Beaver Springs on April 26, 2014 so make your plans now.
Below are results, web links to videos, photos. Etc… I’m just going to add stuff as I get it. Enjoy and thank you to all of our sponsors, racers, car show participants, vendors and spectators. Thanks to you this was the most awesome show I’d ever been to.

Per Beaver Bob - the track operator. In a discussion in the tower at the end of the day, we counted 78 cars that made at least one shot at the tree. Of those, 57 went up for the first round - the rest either broke or were just getting in some time shots earlier on in the day.
We also had 72 cars that were entered in just the car show. Who would have ever dreamed that we would get 150 FE powered vehicles in a first year event? Simply Awesome!
And the variety...! A Henry J, a Fox body Mustang, a low 9 second '58 Ford, more Starliners than we knew existed, the Galaxie with a Survival Motorsports big Cammer in it, Paul Adams NHRA Super Stocker, the XL100 truck, Mustangs, Fairlanes, Galaxies, pickups by the dozens.

As a guy who well remembers being the only FE powered car at the track more often than not for several years - this was simply overwhelming. HUGE Thanks and congrats to Jody and Doug for putting this together, and Kudos to Beaver Bob for opening his track to a bunch of guys dedicated to an old, fabled engine family - with the emphasis on family. Thanks to everyone that made it out! And I look forward to an even bigger and better turnout next year!

A big thank you goes to Steve DePalma and his family for heading up the car show registration table. Without their help and Scott Tanner I am not so sure things would have went so smoothly. I was so occupied that I never got to check on how they were doing. Great job folks!
